Light, small, superb handling, affordable... these terms or pros are just a few of the many that describes a Honda S2000. I'm sure there was at least one moment in your lifetime of wanting to purchase one, especially for you tuners. What I personally love about this model in the Honda line is that the aftermarket support is outstanding. There are so many companies making parts for this car and till this day, it continues on. However, there will be only a few that will get recognition in the scene because not too many S2000s out there 'stand out'. Today, you'll be seeing a gorgeous one, shot by our contributing photographer Jim Davis. The car was modified in the simplest form, yet with high-end and functional parts. Let me introduce you to Matt Musto's S2000, or what I like to call it starting from today, J's 2k.

13
We've seen plenty of S2000s at car shows or just even on the net. If going exotic, you'll recognize the widebody ones, such as Amuse or J's. If not wanting to go too exotic, you won't notice so much by just looking at it, unless you know the parts. Matt's S2000 is a perfect example of that unnoticeable look, but once you dig in through and scrutinize, you'll be mind blown.

5

2
Instead of the mix-and-match we often see on cars once modified, Matt went all out with the infamous aftermarket company in Japan, J's Racing. If there was a demo J's Racing S2000 to be displayed in the States, then Matt's ride will definitely be one of the nominees. The powerful and orgasmic tone coming out from the J's Racing 70RR Full Titanium Headerback Exhaust, is accommodated by the J's Racing header and other engine parts. You'll also notice surrounding the J's Racing exhaust is a Top Secret CF rear diffuser with Vortex generators.

9

10
Instead of focusing on an engine upgrade, it was mostly a dress-up for the bay, yet to mention again the clean look inside and out.

7

158
As much as you guys were surprised with the exterior, the interior wasn't any different. The Cusco 6-point roll cage harnessing the car gives the inside a charismatic look. Holding Matt while driving is a Spoon Carbon Kevlar bucket seat along with Takata harnesses, not to mention what he steers right and left is an OMP Velocita Superleggero streering wheel.

12

11
Taking you guys back to the exterior again, you'll notice more J's Racing parts, such as the J's Racing/ASM Dry Carbon Fiber trunk and J's Racing Dry Carbon Fiber Race Canards, which were professional clearcoated.

14
Front and back, but also the top was fitted with J's Racing parts. The J's Racing Type V CFRP hood roars for attention.

6

4
There are usually two types of fitment I see on S2000s; one being flush and the other track. Either one really grabs my attention because the body line of a S2000 fits both. In this particular case, Matt's S2000 had that track fitment, not too low and not too high. Rolling on a set of SSR Type C wheels wrapped with Yokohama ADVAN AD08s gives that aggressive grip.

I've always liked S2000s and after this feature, I think I just fell in love with them. It's cars like Matt's that really makes me fall in love with the car scene today. Great job and thanks again to Jim for the spectacular photos!

HIN 2012-64
Ah yes! It felt great going to a car show again after 2 months of being MIA. Well, actually, I've been going through blogs, sites, etc. to keep myself updated with what was going around in the car scene today. I really didn't notice a new 'trend' thing, so it seemed like nothing has changed that much for this year. One thing for sure though, were new rides popping up here and there and of course, aftermarket companies and just car enthusiasts buying the all new Subaru BRZ or/and Scion FR-S. I was looking forward to see some modded BRZs and FR-Ss at the next car show I planned on attending, which was Hot Import Nights that happened last Saturday.

I'm sure many of you guys know about HIN (Hot Import Nights). As I've mentioned in my previous coverages on HIN, HIN was the first show I've ever attended and this was back in middle school. My friend's sister was actually modeling so a few friends and I got in for free. I think during this time period was when Tila Tequila was trying to be an import model or something. All I remember, were shit load of lights from every angle, bunch of cars with lambo doors, and neon lights and other things in and out of cars. I mean...I thought those things were cool back then because seeing any car that was other than its stock form was awesome to those who just got into the car scene. Anyways, things have changed tremendously throughout the years and as of today, comparing the attended show cars for this year to back then in middle school, it's absolutely shocking.

HIN 2012-1
I'm really out of what events are coming up these days because of so many shit I need to take care of. Like I've said numerous times in my coverages, what's important to me right now is to focus on what I want to do as a career, not to put myself into my hobby 24/7. But I have friends around me that always try to keep me updated with shows and cars. Luckily, my boy Luigi Arroyo reminded me of HIN and he thankfully gave my blog a discount code for all ya'll to save some money if planned on going.

I thought I applied for media for this event, but I wasn't on the list, so Luigi came down to help me out. I arrived at around.....let's say....3pm? and got into the area 20~30 minutes later. Here's a shot of the spectators trying to get in. I'm not sure how much general admission tickets cost, but if I can just speculate, around $35, which is pretty pricey but well worth it for those who never attended a car show.

HIN 2012-12
Now before I get hated on, I forgot to take my flash and tripod, so a lot of photos you'll be seeing today in my coverage will either be blurry as fuck or full of noise. I tried my best with my shaky hands, so don't judge me. <3 Here are two gorgeously fitted cars with great body work. I believe both are from Team Praxis.
  HIN 2012-2
Perfect example of great rear quarter panel work and fitment.

HIN 2012-14
VIP Modular wheels with a massive lip.

HIN 2012-13
First time seeing this car and I had to give it a thumbs up because of its cleanliness and fitment.

HIN 2012-3
Ok...so...ummm....I'm going to be honest with you guys. Before I headed to HIN, my friend Clifford Sustrino reminded me of another event that was going on along with HIN inside the same hall, which was the IPL Starcraft II league. I'm a Korean. I love games, especially Starcraft. Did I know about this league before going to HIN? Yes. Did I forget? Yes. Was I reminded again? Yes. Did I have to watch it? Fuck yes.
So let's just say I was half excited about the car show and the other half because of Starcraft :D

HIN 2012-4
I would love to write about how the game went between these two players, but...this is a car blog and I shouldn't talk about games...right? ................. maybe I will later on...

HIN 2012-5
Back to the cars, here's a G on Tiffany Blue painted BBS LMs. O yea! Maybe this color is becoming popular in the scene today.

HIN 2012-6
If you guys know me, I'm a huge fan of Anime. If I see an Itasha at a car show, I need to take a photo of it.

HIN 2012-7
This photo is not really focused, but you can see what is going on here. Other than the lambo doors, liked how this tC owner decided to go with Vossen wheels. It's not a wheel choice many tC owners choose to go with. Props!

HIN 2012-8
Ah~ a simply modified Scion FR-S. There were a few FR-Ss here and there and you'll be seeing more throughout this coverage, but this one was the first one I spotted when checking out the cars. I think it was wrapped, but not sure.

HIN 2012-46
I was surprised to see it on Sparco wheels. I haven't heard or even seen them in such a long time. If this car was lowered a bit more and the wheels had a lower offset, then this FR-S would've won my heart.

HIN 2012-9
My first time ever seeing an authentic Veilside NSX. "Holy shit" is what I said when spotting this car. I know many of you guys like the original lines of a NSX and so do I, but this one was unique and I actually loved it. This is the only photo I took, but I remember it was sitting on VIP Modular wheels. Fitment was on point, body work was flawless, and the car overall was sparkling.

HIN 2012-10

Hello hello! Wow. Long time no update haha. I know my blog has been pretty quiet throughout these past few months, but most of you guys see the updates I make on my fanpage, so don't hate me too much. A lot of things have been happening to me other than work and I had to keep myself occupied other than going to car shows, which is one of the reasons why I've been so quiet. I was actually thinking about my activeness in the scene yesterday while browsing through the net and realized my activeness went down 80% compared to last year. Many of you guys who personally know me, know exactly what I'm talking about. Some of you guys greeted me as if I came back from the dead once I showed up at a show before haha. Well I'll try to be more active next year, so that all you fans won't be disappointed.

Well last week, one of my favorite car shows from last year happened this year at an earlier time and I was pretty stoked on planning to attend the event. Yeap~ it was AutoCon! I actually met up with Justin, Nathan, and other staffs who were a part of AutoCon last year to discuss about future plans with the event. I didn't know exactly what was happening back then, but I was fortunate enough to be a small part of AutoCon and glad that Justin and Nathan favored my blog. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend AutoCon this year because of a wedding I had to attend, so my apology to all of NI fans and to Justin and Nathan. Although I wasn't there to do a coverage, our contributing photographer Nick Schultz and videographer UMWorks attended AutoCon and as always, they brought us flawless work. Check it!

EI0A0010
I really don't need to judge about AutoCon, because most of the stories I heard from others about the event last year was all positive. I've seen some updates related to AutoCon on facebook on the day of the event and all I read was how great the event was, other than the hot , sticky, humid, sunny weather.

EI0A0043
This years event had more special guests and tons of models. If you wanted to attend a quality car show, AutoCon was it.

EI0A0068
Team Outcast x BAUS Auto.

EI0A0072
I'm sure you guys have been seeing a few modded Scion FR-Ss or Subaru BRZs at car shows or meets. So far, I haven't seen one that amazed me yet other than the one built by GReddy, but as time goes by, I'm sure one will pop up and make me drool.

EI0A0088

EI0A0140
Ryan's Bluebird is a rare beauty. As I've mentioned in my other coverages, Ryan bought this car rusted and he pretty much restored it all by himself. If I'm not mistaken, he won 3rd place in the JDM category.

EI0A0143
Jose Romo's Audi is just soo sex-z. Get it?

EI0A0154
Red on Red. Why not?

EI0A0157

Gawd dam! STi Wagon fitted on SSRs.

EI0A0187
And we have a line of Scion FR-Ss! Beautiful cars. It seems like the one at the right was rebadged with a Toyota emblem.

EI0A0194
This Integra has been popping up everywhere. I've seen this car on many blog coverages and all they talk about is the unique hood.

EI0A0196
Dam..where did I see this RSX....

EI0A0202
370Z equipped with an ARK exhaust.

EI0A0203

EI0A0326
Seems like Matte colors are the trend these days.

EI0A0350
Aw shiet! What a win!

EI0A0370

EI0A0518
So I saw this photo before I uploaded it on flickr and realized I was looking at the photo for more than a minute. I mean..I know some of ya'll will be saying "come on, it's fucking pointless", but for those who appreciate the fitment scene, the low fitment on this beauty is definitely flawless.

EI0A0523
Mmmm~~~ diffuser goodness.

EI0A0526
Beautiful fitment on this STi.

EI0A0532
I hope this RSX is on air because that is absolutely low. Holy fuk.....

EI0A0547
Omg omg omg! WOW! Haven't seen such an aggressively fitted Ferrari F430 in my life! Props!

EI0A0553
Someone save me.

EI0A0556
If you're in Royal Flush, your ride needs to be fitted. It's not optional.

Now to the stunning model photos our contributor Nick took at AutoCon. I haven't been updated with the new models popping into the scene, but one model I kept an eye on during these past few months was this girl named Molly Truong. I've seen a few photos of her and I gotta say she is hot. Don't judge me.

Anyways, just enjoy the other photos posted below :)

SpoCom-77
Finally...yes..FINALLY! I decided to attend a car show after being quiet for another 2 weeks. It felt great to spend some time checking out cars in person rather than seeing only photos of cars online through blogs. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy checking out coverages by others, but it really can't beat the time doing what you love to do in person.

I'm guessing many of you guys should know about SpoCom because it's been one of the major car shows here in California going on for years. If you read my coverage on SpoCom last year, I wrote a simplistic history about the show and etc. so check it out if you have time.
Let's just put it this way; the hardest and sickest cars in California will be at this show no matter what. I'm talking about cars you have never seen before, such as the ones that were built only to display at major shows. SpoCom is definitely in that list of 'best car shows', so for you guys who missed it this year, don't forget about it next year.

I actually got to know about this show from a good friend of mine named Paul Nguyen. Yes, he was part of another organization called MAS, but not to waste your time and to keep the story short, he is now the VP of Marketing for SpoCom. Paul and I have been talking for a few months about SpoCom and when he reached out to me asking if I can promote the show, I couldn't step back and ignore it, because he was personally an awesome friend of mine and always helped out Night Import. I did have to decline his offer of holding a meet together though, so my bad Paul!
Anyways, let's get on to the coverage, shall we?

SpoCom-1
I think I arrived at Anaheim around 4pm and thought parking wasn't going to be a problem...but I was wrong. I had to wait for an hour to enter the lot and I was sweating like a biatch! BUT! once I arrived and while walking to the Convention Center, I spotted this beauty and my pissed mood disappeared. If you know me well, I spend a lot of time at the parking lot to check out cars, but on the day of SpoCom, it was way too hot.

SpoCom-4
YAY! Inside the Convention Center. Pretty much the same setup like last year.

SpoCom-2
Look who I bumped into? The famous 1013mm and his girlfriend Courtney :) It was good seeing you guys. By the way, when are we going to Gaam again?

SpoCom-3
See! I'm talking about QUALITY cars at SpoCom. This is only the beginning...

SpoCom-5
MFEST rolled in deep like always.

SpoCom-6

SpoCom-7

SpoCom-8
Really loved how this S2000 was sitting nicely on some wheels I've never seen before. Gold Gold Gold!

SpoCom-9
My boys from Import Fashion was doing it big. This booth will probably be the ONLY booth having a party with tons of models.

SpoCom-10
Carl's IS looking good!

SpoCom-11
I'm not a fan of Euros with bike racks at car shows, but o well! Rolling in style.

SpoCom-13
Didn't even expect Richard to bring out his ride. It won something, but I forgot. Good talking to you Richard and my bad for not sticking too long :/

SpoCom-14
Erick's G on wheels that belonged to Yuta. Good buy!

SpoCom-15
Tracy's TSX on wheels customized by Wheelflip. If you have some wheels that needs to be refinished or want a new look to it, hit up wheelflip. I got my BBSs done by them and never regretted it.

SpoCom-16
Luigi's S2000 on SSRs sitting inside the booth.

SpoCom-17
There's Luigi.

SpoCom-18
I didn't know much about this 370Z until Jay commented on this photo once I posted it up on my fanpage. So this Z was built and worked on by a few companies; StatusAutoworks Gardena, ViP Status, USA +Venaci Wheels, and Impressive Wrap. Gawd dam this ride was sexy.

SpoCom-19
What about Carbon Fiber?

SpoCom-20

SpoCom-21
I think I've never missed these two Evos at a car show. Props to these guys.

SpoCom-22
It was all about VIP rides under the booth of 88 Rotors.

SpoCom-23

SpoCom-24

SpoCom-25
Ah! Mike's Job Design GS.

SpoCom-27
Can't beat a fitted Ferrari.

SpoCom-28
Harro Ray! Haven't seen you in a long time. I think I see your car more than you haha

SpoCom-29
Wow. Didn't expect to see any VIP cars on Garsons.

SpoCom-30
Loved the color on this STi.

SpoCom-31
I think I need a VIP car....

SpoCom-32
Haven't seen this famous IS for a long time.

SpoCom-33

SpoCom-34
Two finely built rides from Team Praxis.

SpoCom-35
Sitting hard as f*ck.

SpoCom-36
Probably my first time seeing Big Mike's Prelude on different wheels. Sick like always.

SpoCom-37
We all know about this car right? Mike Mao's Twin-turbo NSX.

SpoCom-38
Remember this GT-R R35? If you are a fan of my blog, then I'm sure you already know what I'm talking about. Still clueless? ... just click here.

SpoCom-39
You know what...I actually like the color on this supercharged Z.

SpoCom-40
Nicely built Scion xBs are worth checking out.

SpoCom-41
I've been seeing a lot of R8s recently in ktown and always break my neck following the orgasmic sound these cars make.

SpoCom-42
Rx-7 FD wrapped by Impressive Wrap. Liking the new wheel setup.

SpoCom-43
Can't go wrong with a classic Porsche.

SpoCom-44
Line of cars from R-Rydes.

SpoCom-45
The famous widebody TSX.

SpoCom-46
Peter Vong's project Celica GT.

SpoCom-47
Cleanest and probably the rarest Bluebird you'll ever find in SoCal.

SpoCom-48
Something about that hood makes me shiver.

SpoCom-49
Ou~ Never knew R-Rydes had a conv. Bimmer.

SpoCom-50
Always appreciate my boy Armand coming up to me whenever I go to a show. It's not just those "O hey~" kind of greeting, but he actually greets me as if I came back from the dead haha. Seriously though, my mood gets up whenever Armand says wsup, so to Armand, thanks man!

SpoCom-51
Randy's flawless G.

SpoCom-52
Jose, aka Eurotuner star, has been upgrading his ride slowly and I really like how it sits right now on those White SSRs.

SpoCom-53
Kelvin recently wrapped his car in White and also changed his wheel setup to a different colored Volk TE37s.

SpoCom-54

SpoCom-55
If I'm not mistaken, the ONLY authentic Veilside NSX in CA. From the many wheel choices available for this car, really dig how the owner went with VIP Modular Wheels.

SpoCom-57
Mmm!!! One of my favorite BBS models on this M3.

SpoCom-56

SpoCom-58
Ass ass ass ass.

SpoCom-59
I'll be back with Part 2. Kind of tired right now after not being able to sleep for the past....6 hours. See you guys soon!

Night Import: Photography and Words by William Lee

SpoCom-109
This week has been pretty hectic and I barely had time to compile rest of the coverage for all you guys who were looking forward to part 2. There are still a lot of cars that weren't in part 1 that will be in today's coverage, so don't click on the X button at the top right of your window.

So to add some of my thoughts in part 2, I think SpoCom had a lot more spectators compared to last years event. Tons of people were walking in and out and when I had to wait for more than 40 minutes to just park, I instantly realized SpoCom was going to be off the hook. Car wise, I would say it was similar or less. There were a line of cars that I haven't seen last year, as well as not seeing cars that participated last year. Either way, the show was great and I had a great time.

SpoCom-60
I didn't realize this GT-R R35 belonged to Paul Garcia until he came up to me to say hi. Last time I saw his car, it was stock Red. What you see here is actually not paint but wrapped.

SpoCom-61

SpoCom-62

SpoCom-65
Loved this M3. So clean and simple.

SpoCom-63
I remember this beauty at SEMA. Jackson, Jason, Kay Bae, and I were talking in front of this car for like an hour because we had nothing to do haha.

SpoCom-64
My favorite Benz in the scene was recently wrapped by Impressive Wrap. If you have no idea what model this is or what kit it has, it's a Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG with a full Misha Designs Widebody Kit. Want to know more about it? Click here.

SpoCom-66
Not sure if I like semi-fitted Porsche Panameras...but still awesome!

SpoCom-67
Loving those concaved DPEs.

SpoCom-68
Probably one of the most famous GT-R R35s here in SoCal..or maybe around the world!

SpoCom-70
Those Blue wheels caught my attention.

SpoCom-71
We all know about this car...right?

SpoCom-72
Hmmm...not a common wheel choice on Audis. I would say it could pull it off if the fronts were as concaved as the rears.

SpoCom-73
Matte Orange? Lego.

SpoCom-74
Realized how Europrojektz rolled in deep like usual.

SpoCom-75
Nilo's RPS13. He is also the owner of a site called DaYUUM! Seriously, that's the name of his site and they post some incredible things, not only related to cars.

SpoCom-76
Track stance Scion FR-S.

SpoCom-77
The cover photo of my part 1 coverage.

SpoCom-78
I would say the Five Axis kit for the Scion FR-S is one of the best looking kits out there today.

SpoCom-79
Simple and elegant.

SpoCom-80
Another Five Axis kitted Scion FR-S.

SpoCom-81

SpoCom-82
I'm guessing this one was to show how a Scion FR-S can be built in a game or something.

SpoCom-83
Just realized those wheels were on the Widebody Five Axis Scion FR-S concept.

SpoCom-84
Cusco USA built a stunning FR-S. We all know Cusco specializes in suspension parts, so this one was obviously built to kill all the cars on track. You can see how their FR-S is on the Five Axis kit.

SpoCom-85
Great fitment on this Scion FR-S.

SpoCom-86
This Scion FR-S by M7 Japan (USA) was gorgeous. The color stood out like fuk! It would have looked MUCH better if it was lowered a tad bit, but other than that, great wheel choice, great color, and great kit.

SpoCom-88
Blacked out.

SpoCom-87
Ooooo shiieeettttt. Probably the only team with cars that dropped jaws. I remember seeing this magazine featured Lexus IS at some show in Fontana and I think it belongs to David.

SpoCom-89
Ough....so beautiful....a fukin Widebody VW GTI.

SpoCom-90
1st place Subaru! Obviously, the best looking WRX I have seen since I started my blog.

SpoCom-91
Jelly.

SpoCom-92
I remember seeing this CLS55 AMG in PAS magazine.

SpoCom-93
Whatever car show you go to and if you see this Infiniti FX35, it will always get Best of Show. The details and bodywork on this car is something you have to see in person.

SpoCom-94
Gs with a fully polished engine bay... fuk!

SpoCom-96
Platinum VIP had a sick lineup. You will see these guys rolling deep if they decide to come out.

SpoCom-97
There's Kennedy (2nd to the right), who is the boss at Platinum VIP. My bad for not saying hi!

SpoCom-98
I loved this Sil80 when I saw it at Formula Drift:Long Beach and fell in love again.

SpoCom-99
Spectators checking out Kennedy's 2JZ Aristo.

SpoCom-100

SpoCom-101
Gotta love these beauties.

SpoCom-103
Incredible Job Design kit comes out once again! Job Design World Premium 8 Body Kit on this Lexus LS460 guys.

SpoCom-104
Ahhh!!! I love this car!! AHHHHHH

SpoCom-106
Bumped into this LS a lot last year.

SpoCom-107
Ou! Fitted Accord on BBS LMs.

SpoCom-108
Tons of Camaros.

SpoCom-110
Seems like this Z is on the Amused kit.

SpoCom-111

SpoCom-112

SpoCom-113

SpoCom-114

SpoCom-115
Always a pleasure to see the rides from SoCalDriven.

SpoCom-116
Andrew can't get rid of those TE SLs. He's in love with them.

SpoCom-117
S2000 from It's JDM yO!

SpoCom-118
I didn't have time...or...should I say I wasn't interested, where the models were.

SpoCom-119
Not sure if I have seen you or know you, but gawd dam... I mean... like... huh?.... why? ...
Nowadays, I don't really care about the clothing on models because more than 80% of them are wearing bikinis and if the body is fine, then it's all good, but when i come across a so-called model who does NOT have a body and some clustering fat compiled near the thighs, SHIT!

..and that guy at the back is pretty dam close to the girl signing a poster or something.

Anyways! Sorry to end it with a rant, but I just have to say things I'm not satisfied with. Other than the photos posted above though, this year's SpoCom had some great models. I just didn't take some of my time taking photos of them. Great job to our girls Raichelle and Eva Skye.

Have a great one guys. Peace!

Good thing about having a team for a blog is that whenever a staff can't make it to an event, there will be someone else within the team who will step in and take your spot. Last weekend, two infamous blogs; Canibeat&Hellaflush, hosted a mesmerizing event at Queen Mary located in Long Beach, CA. Yes, it's the location where Toyotafest, JCCS, and many other car shows take place. Having an event at such a grand location should make you think, "Whoa, this event is going to be off the hook!" and that's exactly what happened last Saturday. Congratulations to Canibeat&Hellaflush on having a successful first event in Southern California. Check out this video coverage done by our one and only videographer, UMWorks. Enjoy!

I finally took some time to update my blog. Sorry for being a lazy ass during these past few weeks. I won't make any excuses this time, so let me just take you guys directly to our today's coverage, covered by our photographer in Japan, Charles Zee Zayas. Not too long ago, Charles visited Tokyo, Japan to check out a car meet. You guys should know by now how crazy a car meet can get in Japan, so let's get on with the photos.

And......I'm back! with an even better coverage, brought to you by our active contributing photographer/videographer in Japan, Charles Zee Zayas. Charles has been running his ass off to various meets and because of him, NI is able to bring you guys some stuff from Japan. I would personally love to go there and see it for myself, but because of this work I have to handle, those days will not come too soon. However, I might be able to make it to Tokyo Auto Salon, so once that happens, I'll keep you guys updated on facebook.

Back to where we left off, there are 2 meets that go on together at Chiba Circuit, just outside of the infamous Tokyo, Japan. One is the well-known R's meet, which I'll be writing up a coverage on some time next week, and another that's not so well known, called the 1JZ meet. I haven't come across a coverage on this meet on all those famous blogs that we know of. Charles is actually a huge fan of drifting, so hearing those tires screeching and smelling the tires burning is a stimulus for him to work even harder in the car scene. Let's see what Charles saw at the meet.
1J-GTR-2I'm sure there were variety of cars with different engine setups, but the ones that actually participated in the drifting event were mostly 1JZ equipped cars.
  1jzz-2Front-end looks like...an animal.
1jzz-3Fuked up bumpers and the sound of turbo spooling is what makes this meet so interesting and fun.
  1J-GTR-3Very clean S13 cruising down.
  1jzz-4The enjoyment of shooting cars.
1J-GTR-4Seems like these JZXs getting ready to enter the track. Look at those guys looking at Charles haha.
  1jzz-5Weeee~~ drifto!

1J-GTR-11Just a hint of what will be shown in our R's meet coverage.
  1jzz-10Look at that.
 1jzz-13S15 alert!!!
  1jzz-12While some cars were leaving..
lexus-1Some were getting ready to rip it up. Stay tuned for our Part 2 coverage on the 1JZ meet.

JZ-32There were a lot of photos Charles sent through e-mail throughout this week and I finally had time to organize and edit them for 2 separate coverages. Obviously, one was the one I posted up last week, which was the 1JZ meet at Fuji Speedway, and the other being the R's meet (will be posted up this week). Today, I'll be continuing from where we left off with our Part 1 coverage of the 1JZ meet, so you'll be seeing more show cars and drifting. Charles did a great job trying to cover the entire event. If you guys have some time, drop by his fanpage and give him a shout out!

JZ-1I'm not sure with the amount of spectators that come to this show every year, but no matter what car show/meet you go to in Japan, you'll see a decent crowd. Not to the point where you're jammed between two people throughout the entire event.
JZ-2Blue and White combo couldn't look any better.
JZ-3How about this clean looking and well fitted JZX.
  JZ-4That lowness...
JZ-5I don't know about you guys, but the Pink body color goes so well with this chassis.
  JZ-6Ballin!
  JZ-7More cars coming through.

JZ-18Outside of the track, one car I favored the most out of all the cars Charles captured through his lens, was this Toyota Mark X. The fitment and body shape looks gorgeous.
JZ-21More cars in the showcase lot.

JZ-23

  JZ-24Looking like a badass.
JZ-25Some of the participants getting ready to enter the track.
  JZ-27A good crowd.

  JZ-35Now that's a catchy color.
  JZ-36Definitely in love.
  JZ-37Ouf~
JZ-38That infamous JZX I showed you guys in Part 1.
JZ-40Even the security guard loved how it looked.
  JZ-39That rear camber.
  JZ-44Boss intercooler.
JZ-45

  JZ-46White cars for the win.
  JZ-47So f'in clean.
  JZ-49S13 chilling at the side.
JZ-50Tons of JZXs at this show.
  JZ-53Going wide.
JZ-54

JZ-43

JZ-42Few more rides to end this coverage. I really suck at writing things, especially on an event that I actually didn't attend, so please understand the shortness and not well-written coverage. Let's just say, today's coverage was all about the photos. Hope everyone enjoyed! Next coverage will be on the R's meet. Peace!

GTR Meet-3

Like many say, better late than never..right? It's been about a month since Japan had its infamous meet...a meet that's known by many enthusiasts around the world. If you are a Skyline fan like myself, then it isn't optional, but mandatory for you to look through other blogs for a coverage on the R's Meeting or even better, checking it out on Night Import. I believe this is our second time covering this event thanks to our contributor Charles in Japan.

Many of you guys know how Japan hosts numerous car shows/events, probably even more than here in the States, and one event you just need to attend if you plan on going to Japan in September, is this one. Yea yea~ I know things can be seen online these days, but actually attending one is obviously different and an experience that cannot be forgotten.

If you know me well, my dream car is a Skyline BNR34. I made a separate post about this, just to share some of my knowledge about cars that I really want to get. So imagine how badly I want to go to Japan and just see Skylines haha. Anyways I'll stop with the talk and take you guys on a tour to the R's meeting.

R's meet-28From Hakosukas to R35s, every line in the Skyline family can be seen at this event.
  R's meet-30Bunch of R32s parked separately.
R's meet-1While some of the cars were parked to show, others were on the track.
  GTR Meet-2Ahhhh~~~ what a scene!
GTR Meet-5A set of Volk TE37s completing the look on this R33.
GTR Meet-4R-Line R33 on what looks like BBSs.
GTR Meet-7Now to the area where all the vendors were.
GTR Meet-8Yeap~ One of my favorite aftermarket companies in Japan, Mine's had their R35 and R34 on display. Charles actually featured a R33 from this company for our blog. I'll try to find that link later for you guys.
  GTR Meet-10Ah yes. HKS.
GTR Meet-11Seems like the D'station ADVAN GT-R R35 that participated in the SUPER GT GT500 Class, driven by Bjorn Wirdheim and Hironobu Yasuda.
R's meet-2One of the R34s that's getting ready to go on the track.

GTR Meet-12

Ouf! R's meet-2In Red please.
  GTR Meet-15Just......speechless...

GTR Meet-17Fuck yea. Can't go wrong with White on White.
  R's meet-5Mmm! Esprit's R35.
GTR Meet-18I spot a R34 on BBS LMs

GTR Meet-19Always loved the BBKs by Endless. Look at the one on this R35. Seems like the forged monoblock BBK.
  R's meet-6Yeeerrrow~~~~ R34 on Volk TE37SLs.
R's meet-7My first time hearing about this aftermarket company called Cockpit.Going to take a look at them once I finish writing this coverage.

R's meet-14

R's meet-15Very nice view. Good job Charles!
R's meet-16Charles needs to eat too right?
R's meet-17I don't know why...but why does every food I see through pictures in Japan, look better than the ones I can actually taste and see in person here in the States. WHY!?
  GTR Meet-21Just because it's a meet for GT-Rs doesn't mean you'll only spot GT-Rs. Here's one gorgeous looking S15.
  GTR Meet-23Well hello family~
   R's meet-19Loving the track stance.

Having the opportunity to feature a car that has not been shown publicly is absolutely exciting. Our goods friends over at Bulletproof Automotive contacted me regarding this beautiful Z, a Z that has not been shown to anyone in the car scene today. Here is a teaser shot done by our contributing photographer Nick Schultz. Like I said, it's a teaser shot, so make sure to keep yourself updated with Night Import because this feature will be breathtaking.

Night Import: Words by William Lee

Wow! WOW! The blog is still alive!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYY~~~~~~~~~ haha how's it going guys. This is William, the owner of Night Import. Gawd dammit, I haven't updated my blog for 3 months or so. Shit...I feel really horrible and want to apologize to all of you Night Import fans because of the lack of work I've put into this site, other than the fanpage, which I do update almost every hour. The reason why I logged in today was to write down few of my goals for Night Import in 2013. 2011-2012 was a blast because that 1 year of hard work made my blog well-known in the automotive scene (my thought). So, what do I have in mind for 2013?

When I first started Night Import, I was active, very active. If you went to a car show or car meet, you would see me walking back and forth, taking multiple pictures of one car and going down every aisle, doing the same thing with every car. Many of you guys saw me so many times that you had to stop me from doing my work and ask if I worked for a blog. I think that's the reason why Night Import got known and how my work got appreciated by many in the scene today. That dedication I had in the past did stop for a while because of work, but I can guarantee you that dedication will continue on in 2013. After selling my tC, I got a new car and will get another car to fix up, so you'll be seeing me pretty dam soon. I have no idea what event is coming up, but if it's an event or meet that will make me excited, than I'll be there for sure.

Car features were not such a big part of Night Import. There were very exclusive cars that were featured here, but the total number of cars that had its own feature lacked tremendously compared to other blogs. Some of you guys might think I am VERY picky when it comes to a car that is feature worth, which is partly true, but it was mostly the lack of time I had to go out there, find a location, contact the owner, and etc. 2013 will be different. I will obviously make some time to shoot more cars, but look forward to see the cars that will be shot by our contributing photographers.

Other than the two I have mentioned at the top, I really don't have anything in mind. In my opinion, what makes a car blog popular or well-known, is honesty and the content. It doesn't matter how many cars were featured or how many events one has been to. There are definitely pros and cons when it comes to honesty (yes, I have been through them all), but it is what it is and if you can't take my honesty, then too bad. Here I am again! It's been a long time right? Well I brought you guys something good today, yes, something REALLY good. As many of you guys know, beginning of every year in Japan, a major car event goes on called Tokyo Auto Salon. If you are new to the car scene, imagine tons of modified cars and models at one place to please your eyes. I actually have not been to this event and need to apologize to you guys because of breaking my promise of attending this event this year (2013). Because of personal things I had to take care of, I couldn't make it (ㅠㅠ). However, my good friend in Japan, Charles Zee Zayas, was able to attend this event and took some awesome photos to share with you guys.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 started on January 11 to January 13 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall. Tons of aftermarket companies participated in this year's event and surprised many car lovers by introducing new products for various cars.

According to Charles, he was not able to take a lot of photos inside the convention hall because of being more interested in the outside area, as well as the opening of D1 Grand Prix. Don't be too disappointed because Charles spotted some awesome rides here and there. Let's just get on with the coverage.

Gotta give mad props to Charles for representing my blog. How awesome is that?

Parking area of Tokyo Auto Salon. This lot itself is like a car show.

  TAS2013-5828

Same as the US, the hype of Toyota 86s and Subaru BRZs was going on in Japan. Once these cars came out, all the aftermarket companies were going crazy, trying to be unique with there own aftermarket part designs, etc. What you see here are lines of Toyota 86s.

Mhm. A clean looking Skyline R33.

If you check my fanpage daily, then you obviously saw this ABflug Supra. Now there were a lot of mixed opinions about this kit/look. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the ABflug kit for the Supra, but one thing for sure, there designs are really unique and eye catching.

Gotta love this S15. Clean as f*ck.

There you go guys! Big ups again to my boy Charles. I realized, and pretty much knew, that TAS going to be packed with Toyota 86s. I saw some coverages on various blogs and the amount of 86s present at TAS was insane! What was also surprising was that each and every one had its own unique characteristics. I'm excited to see some unique ones here in the US, other than the Rocket Bunny 86s. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that kit, but it will be awesome to see one dressed up in a different kit. Anyways, thanks for visiting NI! Bye~

TAS 2013 (72 of 80)If you've been following my blog for a long time, then you know when I do an event coverage, there will be more than 1 part to it. But that's just me, not how my blog's contributors do there event coverages. Charles was actually digging through his SD card to see if he had more photos from Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 and luckily, he found some that weren't posted in our part 1 coverage of TAS 2013. If part 1 was favored by many of you guys, then I guarantee you will enjoy part 2. To start it off, here are two powerful beauties from the kick off of D1GP.

TAS 2013 (1 of 80)Before I take you guys to the opening of D1GP, let's start with the parking lot. Charles enjoys checking out the cars there as if he was inside a convention center checking out a show. Unlike events here in the US, you won't be able to spot sick rides like the ones in Japan. Seems like this Mark X is slammed on BBS RSs.
TAS 2013 (2 of 80)Built to drift? Haven't seen that long rear-view mirror for quite a long time now.
  TAS 2013 (3 of 80)Clean clean.
  TAS 2013 (4 of 80)Gnarly.
TAS 2013 (5 of 80)Ouf...I would feature this S15 if I spotted it at a parking lot.

  TAS 2013 (13 of 80)Perfect for a local drive.
TAS 2013 (15 of 80)The area of Office-K. I believe the car you see in front was the McClaren 12C.
TAS 2013 (16 of 80)Junction Produce! How can you go wrong with this company.
TAS 2013 (17 of 80)The car itself is awesome, but look closely at the body finish. (o_o)
  TAS 2013 (18 of 80)Fab Design SLS.
TAS 2013 (19 of 80)The new GS350 on air and Vossen wheels.
TAS 2013 (20 of 80)What?...how?...eh? Girls would dig this car though. Why am I thinking of Paris Hilton.
TAS 2013 (21 of 80)Ah! The BRZ STi.
TAS 2013 (22 of 80)Wagon R baby! How cam I don't spot so many Suzukis in the US.
